Newman Sienna Netball Club Grading Policy 2010

  •    All players must attend Grading, as it a compulsory part of club membership and reflects the competitive nature of Perth Netball.
  •     All players must be registered with the Newman Sienna Netball Club to be selected into a team.
  •     Each player will be graded by an independentgrader who will assess each player’s skills and ability and place them in the appropriate team.
  •     All players are required to attend practical grading appropriate to their age group.
  •    The Committee needs to be notified before grading commences if a player is unable to attend a grading session due to illness or any other unavoidable circumstance.  Players who are unable to attend grading due to a legitimate reason will be placed in a team equivalent to previous season’s team level by the Committee.

Final Team Selection

  •     The Committee will ensure the appropriate numbers of players are allocated for each team and confirm team membership.
  •     Teams should ideally consist of eight players. It may require teams to be combined from different years.
  •     While it would be ideal to have players playing with their friends, this is competition and it is the committee’s duty to select the best teams to represent our club.
  •     The Committee’s decision on team selection is final.

Pre season

There will be pre season training for all players to allow them to practice before grading. Whilst this is not compulsory it will increase the effectiveness of the grading exercise..
